El Independence of the Seas es un barco de tipo crucero. Fue el más grande del mundo junto al Liberty of the Seas y el Freedom of the Seas, hasta que fue construido el MSOasis of the Seas. Este crucero fue construido en Turku, Finlandia. Su nombre en español significa «Independencia de los Mares». Propiedad de la compañía Royal Caribbean International. Puede acomodar 4.370 pasajeros y una tripulación de 1.360 miembros.
Es el último de la Clase Freedom. La siguiente generación es la Clase Génesis, siendo el primero de esta clase el barco MS Oasis of the Seas, que inició su primer viaje el día 1 de noviembre de 2009.
